Designing a Nanodevice to Identify Toxic Cyanogen Gas in Mahshahr Islamic Azad University

Researchers of Mahshahr Islamic Azad University have investigated about the theory of the effect of using a special type of Nano Page in absorbing toxic Cyanogen Gas.


The application of this study will be applied in designing some sensors to identify this gas in environment through its application.

Cyanogen is the chemical compound with the formula (CN) ₂ and is a colorless, toxic gas with a pungent odor that has been mostly used in wars. Its effects are such as Nausea and vomiting, paroxysm, coma, Pupillary dilatation, and no response of pupil to light.

In order to design this model, various effective factors on the function of Nano page in absorbing atoms and also the size of these pages have been investigated in order to reach the best result.

This investigation carried out by the sincere efforts of Doctor Maziar Noee, the faculty member of Mahshahr Islamic Azad University, and Mosaddegh Arjmand, the Master Degree student of Gachsaran Islamic Azad University.
