IAU Main Priorities in Iran Recent Flood

The president of Islamic Azad University has stated that the university is able to assist flood victims and residents in cities and villages of the country affected by severe flooding.

According to IAU public relations, Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi emphasized that due to the expansion of Islamic Azad University all across the country, it is aware of people’s problems in different regions and areas.

He continued that the university can both assist flood victims, cities and villages through applying branches’ facilities, “since IAU branches in north of the country paid significant attentions to the areas affected by severe flooding such as Aqqala, Gomishan and etc., we are mobilizing facilities to help flood victims in other areas."

As Dr. Tehranchi noted, in the field of crisis management, an academic and scientific works will be done systematically and be placed in Azad Payesh Plan topics system. "Azad Payash Plan", referring to an Effective Unified Research Network, has been run in order to be pioneer in one of the most important challenges of the country, solve the problems and create a huge revolution in the country’s higher education system.
