The director-general of IAU Knowledge-Based Economic Affairs and Investment has stated that students will be granted tuition discount based on the knowledge-based activities they do in the university.

In the past, many knowledge-based initiatives have failed because leaders underestimated the powerful link between knowledge and performance improvement and also because they mistakenly thought that "information" was the same as knowledge.

In his interview with ISCA News Agency, Payam Najafi explained that methods of collaborative knowledge-based activities need to be organized therefore; IAU knowledge-based economy style guide has been issued.

He continued that IAU owns sufficient mechanism for developing incubators, and the style guide could pave the way for the university’s progress.

Pragmatic knowledge is the result of individuals' developing a deeper understanding of how (and why) things work best in practice. The process of creating pragmatic knowledge transforms key lessons from systems thinking, total quality management, and organization learning into a powerful new business strategy.

In this regard, Najafi mentioned the university’s main concern toward knowledge-based economy and said that students will be awarded tuition discount due to the knowledge-based activities and projects they carry out in the university.
