IAU’s Rescue Robot Team Wins the Championship in RoboCup 2015

The MRL real rescue team of Islamic Azad University of Qazvin has won the championship in the 18th RoboCup world competition in Hefei, China.


According to ISCA News Agency, the acting head of Qazvin IAU’s MRL real rescue team, Mahdi Dadvar, has stated that his team achieved this success versus their Thai opponent, who had won several RoboCup championships.

“Designing and manufacturing fully-automated, semi-automated, and flying robots and using them simultaneously was the key to our success”, he noted.

In his final remarks, he thanked the president of IAU, Dr. Mirzadeh as well as Dr. Mousakhani and sponsors of the MRL team. He also congratulated Iranian researchers, professors, and students on this great success.
