Earthquake in North-East of Tehran

An earthquake centered in Firuzkuh, north-east of Tehran, rattled the capital city of Iran last night.

index According to Iran Student Correspondents Association (ISCA) News Agency, a 4.6-magnitude earthquake, jolted  Firuzkuh, North-east of Tehran, the capital city of Iran last night at 22:06:36, August 25, 2015.

This earthquake  struck at the depth of 10 km, near the border between the Tehran and Semnan Provinces. The Iranian Seismology Center at University of Tehran reports the exact coordinates of its epicenter at 52.63 degrees east and 35.58 degrees north.

Dr. Naser Charkhsaz, the head of Iranian Red Crescent Society, noted that no information regarding the financial and economic damages has been received so far and emergency and medical response teams of this organization are on standby now.
