Chabahar IAU to Open Environmental Science Center

Dr. Amin Reza Kamalian, the head of Islamic Azad University, Chabahar branch has announced plans for opening an applied research center for environmental sciences in this branch.

According to Azad News Agency (ANA), Dr. Kamalian has stated that the possibility of using free lands and properties of Zahedan IAU for knowledge-based activities, alongside the development of science and technology parks and implementing SHAFA (Azad Technology Town) plans was discussed during the 9th meeting of IAU’s board of trustees.

Also, opening an applied research center for environmental sciences in Chabahar branch was another issue which was tabled in the meeting. Given the convenience of the location of this branch and its access to the Gulf of Oman, and also the cost-effectiveness of the above-said plan, it was unanimously approved.

Chabahar is the center of the Chah Bahar County, Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Iran. The various academic centers in the city are particularly well-known for research and education in maritime sciences.
