Yaser Hashemi, head of the office of the IAU board of trustees announced that the Islamic Azad University should target foreign student admission and, fortunately, it seems that commitment to this objective already exists in the country.

According to Iran Student Correspondents Association (ISCA), Yaser Hashemi has stated that regarding the issue of foreign student admission, IAU can act more rapidly than the government because of its different structure and conditions.

While emphasizing the significance of removing obstacles to foreign student admission, Hashemi stated that “finding an efficient method for ranking universities and also enhancing the English proficiency of foreign students are other important issues to consider.”

“Considering the scientific fields that might be attractive to students from western countries, we should try to increase our foreign admission in majors such as urban studies and human sciences which are among the specialties of the region,” added Hashemi.
