Iranian Professor Chosen Among World’s Leading Scientists in Earth Science

The European Geosciences Union has named Kaveh Madani, professor of environmental and water resource engineering in the Imperial College London, as one of the four notable scientists in the field of Earth Science in 2015.

According to a report from Iranian Students’ News Agency (ISNA), this is the first time that an Iranian scientist has succeeded in receiving one of the major prizes of this Union. The four primary prizes of the European Geosciences Union are donated to scientists and researchers who contribute to significant progress in various fields of Earth Sciences.

Kaveh Madani is a Senior Lecturer in Environmental Management and the Director of Alumni at the Centre for Environmental Policy. His core research interests and experiences include integrated water, environmental, and energy resources engineering and management.

The European Geosciences Union (EGU) is a non-profit international union in the fields of Earth, planetary, and space sciences.
