The head of the General Directorate of International Affairs of Islamic Azad University announced that IAU, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the High Council of Iranian Affairs Abroad have begun talks on receiving Iranian academics and faculty who reside and teach abroad.

According to Azad News Agency (ANA), Dr. Hossein Ebrahimi stated that a circular was examined in the Specialized Council for Free Zones in order to make the best possible use of the services of Iranian professors who work at reputable universities and research institutions in other countries - particularly when they visit Iran - if they are inclined to cooperate with IAU on a short-term, one or two month basis.

The idea for this initiative has risen from the speech of President Rouhani in May this year, who specifically emphasized the importance of these resources.

Based on the content of the new circular, all IAU national and international branches can host one-month or one-year workshops with the presence of such academics, particularly at the higher education level.

Dr. Ebrahimi also gave note that recieving Iranian professors from abroad will be implemented in over the next year.
