The head of the German Journalists Association has expressed his hopes to open and expand scientific cooperation and to facilitate exchanging views with political, cultural and economic experts in Iranian research centers and universities during a visit to Islamic Azad University, Science and Research branch.

According to Azad News Agency (ANA), Christine Dieter, vice president of International Press Institute and the head of the German Journalists Association, said she believed that communication is the key to creating effective relationships in the world.

“Working in journalism creates an environment for transferring information and knowledge through pictures and writing, making the journalists’ influence and essential roles in society even more profound,” Dieter said.

Providing access to databases, holding educational courses, and supporting journalists in crisis areas are among the activities of this association. “The German Journalists Association attempts to provide news and information from various fields to relevant sectors because researchers’ activities are very much influenced by the ideas of journalists and experts”, she declared.
