North Tehran IAU Shines in Nuremberg iENA International Trade Fair

Young researchers of Islamic Azad University, North Tehran Branch have won gold, silver, and bronze medals in Civil engineering in the iENA International Trade Fair held in Nuremberg, Germany, from October 29 to 31, 2015.

According to Azad News Agency (ANA), Dr. Mohammad Javad Shakouri, head of North Tehran IAU’s Young Researchers & Elite Club stated that the first iENA International Trade Fair was run in 1936 in Germany, and in it, the best ideas win awards from an international jury of experts.

“Among 144 participating countries in 25 disciplines including civil engineering, mechanic, electronics, computers, agriculture and environmental studies, the young Iranian researchers of IAU, North Tehran branch won a gold, silver, and a bronze medal in this tournament”, said Shakouri.

Designing and constructing an earthquake-proof room, high performance standard concrete mixer, and high resistance and ultralight concrete blocks with polymer fibers were some of the Iranian projects in this fair.

Nuremberg was host to iENA trade visitors from the following countries this year: Afghanistan, Angola, Australia, Austria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Canada, Chad, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Egypt, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iran, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordan, the Kingdom of Saudi-Arabia, Lebanon, Macau, Malaysia, Malta, Moldavia, Morocco, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, Spain, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Uruguay and the USA.
