According to an Azad News Agency (ANA) report, this 3 -day competition was held by the support of International Federation of Inventors’ Association (IFIA) with the participation of 19 countries in Terrell, Croatia.
The ideas of Farzaneh Esmaeili Torkan-bouri, furniture and decoration design student of IAU, S&R branch, titled Blue Sky (Aseman-e-Abi), Green Furniture and Green Ideas, and Green Residence earned her two gold and silver medals in this festival.
“Humans can financially or spiritually hurt the environment through neglect. Luckily, more attention is being paid to public spaces, especially urban furniture. The 2 projects I have worked on were designed in a way which will never harm the environment,” explained Torkan.
Earlier in 2014, Torkan also won the gold medal in the field of furniture and decoration when competing for the Thailand special prize for inventors, and an award from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
