IAU & Berlin University Investigate Cooperation Areas

The first meeting between Islamic Azad University, Central Tehran branch, and Iranian delegation of the technical department at Berlin University was hosted by the IAU Central Tehran department of Research and Technology.

Iran Student Correspondents Association (ISCA) quotes Alireza Feiz-bakhsh, deputy of Research and Technology of Tehran Central IAU as explaining that the purpose of this meeting was to investigate various fields of scientific cooperation and also probe the capabilities and potential of both universities.

He also pointed to research findings and development of knowledge-based economic activities and announced that IAU Central branch is ready to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Berlin University, iterating that moving toward commercialization is one of the IAU’s main objectives.

Dr. Mohammad Mot'iee (مطیعی), general director of International Affairs at Tehran Central IAU, noted that interacting with the world's high-ranking, reputable universities and furthering joint research projects could provide appropriate conditions to reach satisfactory results in the way of commercialization.

He finally added that the aims of MoU will be holding joint scientific meetings, conferences, and short term educational courses, providing sabbaticals for faculty members, exchanging faculty and students, and the publication of articles.
