Shahr-e-Qods IAU Takes Gold in Eurasia Kick Jitsu

A student of Islamic Azad University, Shahr-e-Qods branch, has succeeded in taking the title of Eurasian Champion in Kick Jitsu mixed martial arts (MMA) competitions.

According to Azad News Agency (ANA), Sattar Khazaee received the title of Eurasian champion in Kick jitsu Championship which has been hosted by Iran and held in Azadi Stadium.

Kick Jitsu is a mixed martial art combining kick boxing and jujitsu techniques. All hand and elbow strikes, kicks, knee kicks, and jujitsu techniques such as grappling, chocking, joint locks, judo and wrestling techniques are used in kick jitsu. This martial art is a powerful mixture of Kickboxing, Mauy Thai, boxing, Judo, Jujitsu, grappling and wrestling and attracts many athletes from other fields.

Combatant teams from various Asian and European countries including Iran, Ukraine, Armenia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, and Iraq participated in this tournament and Iran’s national kick jitsu team won two gold medals in both group and individual categories.

Sattar Khazaee, BA student of law at Shahr-e-Qods IAU, overcame his opponents and received the gold medal in the individual sparring category.
