IAU, Slovakian Universities Cooperation is Beneficial

The president of Islamic Azad University met with the Slovakian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance.

The IAU Public Relations Office reports that Dr. Hamid Mirzadeh visited Peter Kažimír, the Slovakian Deputy Prime Minister and minister of Finance, and stated that IAU is ready to launch branches in Central Europe and to open lines of research, academic, and scientific cooperation with Slovakian universities.

Peter Kažimír explained that although Slovakia is a small country, it has always welcomed science, culture, and art from other nations. He noted that the Islamic Azad University's 40 percent share of Iran’s higher education is an obvious sign which shows the wide expanse of its domain. Kažimír also added that owing to the presence of qualified and experienced researchers and scientists in Slovakian universities, research and scientific cooperation will be of great benefit to both countries.

Dr. Hamid Mirzadeh clarified that IAU is a non-governmental university and its income is supplied through student tuition, knowledge-based activities, and also service and industrial contracts so it sustains itself with no dependence on the state budget.

Dr. Mayerski , head of budget affairs; Dr. Petrová, responsible for academic exchanges; Dr. Shova, general director of formality of Ministry of Foreign Affairs accompanied the Slovakian Deputy Prime Minister in this meeting. It was decided that the international affairs department of IAU draft an agreement for cooperation between the universities of both countries.
