Jolfa IAU & Aras Free Zone to Cooperate in Knowledge-based Fields

The acting head of Islamic Azad University, Jolfa international branch has stated that admitting international students can pave the way towards further international activities.

According to ANA (Azad News Agency), Dr. Mohammad Hossein Sadeqi Zali, stated that Jolfa IAU has been established since 2005, and "the branch has good potential to cooperate with the numerous industries in this region; we have set our sights on signing Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) in knowledge-based activities."

“We have already done some work on research plans for producing aluminum petrol tanks which are both lighter and cost less to produce than similar models so far,” he said.

Referring to the cooperation between the Aras Free Zone and Jolfa IAU, Sadeqi explained that the two organizations convene on a monthly basis, and that Dr. Ebrahimi, director general of IAU international affairs, presides over the meetings. He expressed hopes that this will lead to large-scale decisions.

Sadeqi continued that the branch is attempting to truly develop its international potentials by taking in students and exchanging faculty. He added that Dr. Mirzadeh, president of IAU, is particularly focused on these methods for improving IAU international affairs and this will provide the needed leverage to see significant achievements in this regard.
