Faculty Member of Damavand IAU Conquers Mount Khan Tengri

Morteza Ramezani conquered the 7010m mountain in Kyrgystan.

According to an ANA report, Morteza Ramezani, Nima Afsaee and Ebrahim Salami travelled to Kyrgyzstan and finally Morteza Ramezani, faculty member of Islamic Azad University, Damavand branch, and the head of Tehran mountaineering club, succeeded in conquering Khan Tengri peak, a 7,010 m. mountain of the Tian Shan mountain range which is located on the China, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan border.

Khan Tengri is the second-highest mountain in the Tian Shan and the name "Khan Tengri" literally means "King Heaven" in Kazakh and possibly references the deity Tengri.
