According to an ISCA report, in his visit of Bushehr IAU and its achievements, Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani spoke of IAU’s 450 branches throughout the country and stated that the university is moving toward research and innovation with all its might and academic resources.
Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani noted that, “people must see the result of scientific investigation in their life” and pointed to IAU’s numerous research programs, emphasizing that “one of the most important research areas of the Islamic Azad university is plasma physics, which has potential in protecting the environment and removing waste pollution. In this regard, IAU has taken important measures and plans are in place to further develop these technologies.”
The head of the IAU board of trustees recognized the creation of jobs, innovation, invention and commercialization of academic output to be the most important national requirements which guide the plans and programs of the university.
“Recently, and as a result of the JCPOA, Iran has been invited to join the ITER project, the seven countries working in France to create the first fusion-based power plant, practically bringing the energy of a new sun to the Earth,” added Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani.
