Najafabad IAU Unveils Ergonomic Bench

Students of Islamic Azad University, Najafabad branch, have made an ergonomic branch named “Moj-e-Sakhreh”.

In his interview with ISCA News Agency, the inventor and head of the research team, Hossein Moradi, stated that based on previous research, inappropriate activities and resting positions are the result of most skeletal, muscular, and joint diseases, “This led us to search and make this bed.”

“People who do outdoor and social activities always look for a place to rest and relieve the pressure from gravity and environmental factors from their body. However, the available benches transfer weight pressure to the joints, soft tissues, and also spinal column which creates pain and numbness in the lower back and legs,” he explained.

Speaking about the technical characteristics of the bench, he noted that it has been made of 258 pieces, each of them designed based on the anatomic parameters of human body. This bench can remove pressure from sensitive skin and subcutaneous
