IAU Robotic Crab Can Walk on Uneven Surfaces

An mechanical engineering MSc student at Islamic Azad University, Damghan branch, has made a robotic crab which can traverse uneven surfaces.

ISCA reports that the robot, built by Pejman Rezaee, simulated the movements a crab and can move, turn left and right and also retreat even on uneven surfaces.

The head of engineering faculty at Damghan IAU, Dr. Seyed Javad Mohammadi stated that the robot is being used in designing and producing animated movies. “we are preparing a collection of robots and robotics simulators in order to produce an Iranian animation,” he said.
