Central Tehran IAU & Polytechnic University of Turin Sign MoU

The officials of Islamic Azad University, Central Tehran branch, and the Polytechnic University of Turin have signed a cooperation Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

According to an ISCA report, a high-ranking delegation from Polytechnic University of Turin and IAU officials from Central Tehran IAU international affairs signed a cooperation MoU on Design Engineering and Architecture today at the IAU branch.

In this regard, the acting head of IAU Central Tehran and Tehran province, Dr. Ahmad Shams, noted that due to the considerable research and academic potentials, and its one thousand and 200 faculty members, Central Tehran IAU is ready to develop its academic international cooperation with reputable universities.

He pointed to some signed academic MoUs with Italian universities and stated that IAU welcomes the cooperation of the world's top universities in research.

The general director of IAU international affairs, Dr. Hossein Ebrahimi, also explained that since the IAU general policy has been focused on developing international affairs during recent years, IAU has concluded academic MoUs with reputable universities worldwide and Central Tehran IAU has been greatly active in this field so far.

Exchanging faculty and students, carrying out joint research projects and dissertations, and holding research and academic workshops are the provisions of these MoUs.

The University of Turin is one of the most ancient and prestigious Italian Universities. It hosts about 70.000 students, 4.000 academic, administrative and technical staff, and 1800 post-graduate and post-doctoral students and with 120 buildings in different areas in Turin. Its Medical Diagnostic, Biosensoristics and Nanotechnologies research centers are well-regarded in Italy.

Some of the degree courses offered at Turin are unique in Italy, such as Military Strategy, Biotechnology, Sport Sciences, Restoration and Conservation.
