S & R IAU and Australian Entrepreneurs to Launch Knowledge-Based Companies

A delegation of Australian entrepreneurs met with officials of Islamic Azad University, Science and Research branch and discussed potential fields of cooperation.

The research and technology deputy of Science and Research IAU, Dr. Mohammad Hossein Modarresi, explained about the capabilities and facilities of this unit and emphasized on the importance of research activities, various ways of generating revenue, and international cooperation, ANA reports.

The Australian delegation, which was led by the trade representative of the Australian embassy in Tehran, emphasized the presence of 350 PhD students in the University of Melbourne, whose research acts as an engine in national revenue generation. Their primary proposal was for the launch of a Center of Excellence, with a specific focus on sustained mineral activities and management of water resources and also running joint knowledge-based companies.

Science and Research IAU also announced its readiness for hosting such companies and systematic international academic cooperation.
