IAU President Meets with Iranian Authorities for Nowruz

The president of Islamic Azad University, Dr. Hamid Mirzadeh, visited high-ranking Iranian officials following the traditions of the Nowruz, Iranian New Year.

According to an ISCA report, the IAU president visited Dr. Hassan Rouhani, the Iranian president, Ayatollah Amoli Larijani, head of the Judicial System, Dr. Ali Larijani, chairman of the Iranian Parliament, and Dr. Ali Akbar Velayati, head of the IAU board of trustees and directors, wishing them good luck for them in 'Year of Economy of Resistance: Production and Employment' and hoped for ever-growing success in the new year.

Dr. Mirzadeh also met with IAU officials and members of the Board of Directors and in homage to the memory of the late Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani, he stated that this year will provide ample opportunity for the university to demonstrate its capabilities in upholding a knowledge-based economy.

With regard to the theme of a 'Year of Economy of Resistance: Production and Employment', Dr. Mirzadeh noted that IAU is well-prepared, as it has paid close and constant attention to the tenets of a knowledge-based economy, which is the base of the Economy of Resistance.

The IAU president also highlighted the fact that research, culture and scientific development is the priority of the university and expressed his hopes that planning and proper policy-making will maximize research activities and achievements.
