Garmsar IAU & Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Implement 1st Intl-Research Project

The acting head of Garmsar IAU announced the completion of the first mutual research and international project with Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.

According to an ANA report, Dr. Alireza Ladan Moghadam explained that the research project has been carried out with the cooperation of Pathology Department of Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine on immunohistochemical identification of the BHV1 virus.

He added that the project is in two phases; the first one includes sampling 4798 patient sheep for 6 months and the second phase includes microscopic sections and H & E immunohistochemical procedures.

The acting head of Garmsar IAU also noted that the main points of the signed MoU between universities are performing joint research activities, releasing scientific publications, holding workshops and conferences and exchanging professors and students which will be in force until 2020

Mehmet Akif Ersoy University was founded by law on 17 March 2006 and the number 5467 published in the official newspaper in the issue 26111. Burdur Education Faculty, Burdur School of Health, Burdur Vocational School, Bucak Hikmet Tolunay Vocational School, Gölhisar Vocational School, Bucak Emin Gülmez Technical Science Vocational School, Ağlasun Vocational School were connected to Suleyman Demirel University and Burdur Veterinary Faculty was connected to Akdeniz University which were then transferred to Mehmet Akif Ersoy University. Faculty of Letters, Institutes of Social Sciences, Science and Technology, Health Sciences were founded by the same law.

Mehmet Akif Ersoy University includes 3 institutions which have graduate training programs, 3 faculties and 2 higher schools which have undergraduate training programs, and 6 vocational schools, 4 research centers, 6 departments connected to rectorship, 14.991 students and 758 personnels.
