S & R IAU Hosts Delegates from Alberta & Cork

Representatives from the University of Alberta, Canada and the University College Cork, Ireland met with officials of Science and Research Islamic Azad University.

According to an ISCA report, in this meeting, representatives of the University of Alberta and University College Cork introduced their universities and discussed possibilities for cooperation.

S & R IAU officials announced that they are ready for research and academic cooperation and holding specialized intensive courses in the fields of oil and gas, nanotechnology and environment with the University of Alberta, and working in fields including management, DBA, environmental sciences and food industries with University College Cork.

According to the Center for World University Rankings, the University of Alberta ranks sixth in transplantation; fifth in each of forestry, geology and petroleum engineering; and, according to biological sciences chair Michael Caldwell, a calculated third in paleontology that has been a half-century in the making.

UCC, Cork provides access to higher education in the Irish province of Munster. It is among the top 200 world universities. Its global reputation is in management, environment and food industry and is considered a green university.
