A student of Islamic Azad University, Torbat-e-Heydarieh branch, has invented a warning and notification system for entrances and intersections using piezoelectrics which can reduce more than 40 percent of road accidents.

According to an ANA report, Mohammad Rajabpour registered his patent, a warning and notification system for entrances and intersections, and ranked second in INTARG - International Exhibition of Economic and Scientific Innovations 2016, in Poland and received the Special Award of the 41th International and Invention Show, Croatia Inova.

Rajabpour stated that the display has been marketed and is on demand in five countries including Malaysia, Poland, Croatia, Thailand and Taiwan so far. He also explained that being not aware of the opposite direction in road bends is one of the dangers of driving in roads where usually convex mirrors are being used to reduce the risk. This display is able to inform drivers with more details of the road.

This sign has passed its pilot tests well. It uses LED lights and is powered by sustainable clean energies through a solar panel or wind turbine.
