Dezful IAU Students Innovate at 2017 Malaysia ITEX

The 15-strong outfit of young Iranian inventors and innovators received five gold, six silver, and two bronze medals in the 28th International Invention, Innovation and Technology Exhibition (ITEX) held in Malaysia.

According to an ISCA report, Mohammad Ahmadi Siahpoosh, civil engineering student of Dezful IAU, and his teammates Yasin Chamai Nejad and Hesamoddin Tohidastas won the gold medal for invention of a toilet that adjusts to correct the user's sitting angle. Another gold medal went to an IAU graduate from the Dezful branch for a bicycle that provides advanced technology to its rider.

Silver medals for the Iranian team were secured by this team for ‘design and prototyping system of automatic pay toll in roads’ and ‘design and prototyping thermal power generation systems and reducing vehicle fuel consumption’.

The 28th International Invention, Innovation and Technology Exhibition (ITEX 2017) was held as an international platform for local and international inventors and research scientists to present their innovations to a business community keen on commercializing unique inventions.

The exhibition was held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from May 11 to 13, and aimed at bridging the gap between the incredible pace of scientific innovation and the society, and the commercialization of inventions and innovation, with the theme “Inventing for a Better World.”
