Pardis IAU Graduates Make Oil–Water Separator Device

Pardis Islamic Azad University graduates have designed a device which separates oil from water.

According to an ISCA report, a graduate of Pardis IAU and the head of BETACO Company, Hossein Amini, stated that BETACO is the first company which is located in IAU Science and Technology Park aiming at removing impurities and harmful effects of oil spills and hydrocarbons at sea.

He continued that this device is floated on mixed oil and water patches and transfers oils accumulated in water to an oil storage system. The device can be used to remove the harmful effects of the oil hydrocarbon spill and at sea, sea pollution caused by the operation of oil platforms and wells and would particularly useful in cleaning ports, harbors, oil tankers, and rivers. It can also be exploited in eliminating oil in drilling locations, the steel industry, and in treating water treatment process and industrial wastewater are the widely uses of oil–water separator device.
