IAU to Create Integrated, Intelligent & Self-Directed Media Organization

The inaugural ceremony for the head of ISCANews, Dr. Reza Vaezi, was held with the presence of the acting-head of the IAU Printing, Publishing and Media Affairs Organization, Dr. Saleh Eskandari, and the journalists and employees of the news agency.

According to an ISCA report, Dr. Saleh Eskandari stated that the domain of public relations has expanded into a world of multilateral interaction and dialogue. He noted that the head of IAU board of directors and trustees, Dr. Ali Akbar Velayati and the IAU acting president, Dr. Ali Mohammad Nourian have a specific interest in media which necessitates the move towards an integrated, intelligent and self-directed media organization.

Dr. Eskandari presented facts and figures on the status quo of the IAU in its academic publication capacity, noting that that approximately 460 books and 700 thousand journals in various fields are being published under the auspices of the university, and this vast experience has allowed for the identification of the important issues of the university in this regard, such as standardization and qualification of publications, augmenting the validity and reputation of IAU academic degrees and developing further depth in education.

The acting-head of IAU Printing, Publishing and Media Affairs Organization spoke of expanding international relations with other countries within and beyond the Middle East, and the requirement for IAU media bodies to follow suit and make internationalization a priority.

Dr. Eskandari spoke with appreciation of Mr. Hossein Habibzadeh and his efforts in maintaining the news agency over his tenure, and introduced Dr. Vaezi as the new head of the Iran Student Correspondents Association News Agency, adding that Dr. Vaezi’s background as a media theorist and his reputation in the academia and media have made him the ideal candidate for leading ISCANews towards a brighter future.
