Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution Appoints New IAU Trustees

The Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution has appointed three new members to the Islamic Azad University, board of trustees.

According to an ISCA report, in the meeting held with the presence of Hojat al-Islam Hassan Rouhani, head of Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution, three new members of IAU board of trustees were selected. Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi, former president of Iran's Shahid Beheshti University, Fereydoun Azizi, Professor of Endocrinology & Metabolism, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, and Farhad Rahbar, Iranian economist, academic, and the former Chancellor of University of Tehran were selected as new members of IAU board of trustees.

According to the IAU statute clause 1, article 10, full time faculty members at the level of associate professor who do not hold management positions are eligible to be a member of the IAU board of trustees with the approval of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution
