Establishing IAU Branches Can Further Academic Development

The head of Islamic Azad University, board of directors and trustees, Dr. Ali Akbar Velayati has stated that establishing IAU branches in countries that are culturally, historically and religiously similar to Iran can further academic development.

According to an IAU report, in the fifth episode of the second series of the IAU Magazine program, the secretary to the IAU board of trustees, Dr. Nourian stated that globalization and internationalization has become a highly significant matter over the recent years.

Referring to the 4 IAU international branches in Lebanon, Afghanistan, UAE and the United Kingdom and also its offices in Germany, Italy and Russia, Dr. Nourian explained that launching IAU offices and units in 16 other countries is on the list of IAU plans.

The total number of IAU foreign students is currently 8678 and as Dr. Ebrahimi, IAU faculty member further clarified that through the IAU international network, 2 thousand and 7 hundred students will be admitted in the forthcoming educational year, starting September-October 2017.
