A student of Andimeshk Islamic Azad University, Keramat Abdevali, has secured gold medals at the United World Wrestling Junior World Championships in Finnish city Tampere.

The 2017 Junior Greco-Roman World Championships hosted by Finland and Keramat Abdevali (60 kg) defeated his German rival with the result of 5-1 in first round, ANA reports.

In his second encounter, he defeated Hassan Mohammad from Egypt 6-2 and then in third round overcame his Chinese opponent, 9-0. Abdevali succeeded in winning against India in the semifinals, 3-1, and finally he defeated former cadet world champion Oleksandr Hrushyn of Ukraine 7-5 in the gold medal final.

As expected, countries like Georgia, Russia, Iran, Azerbaijan, and Turkey are all offering up rosters loaded with talent and experience, though the primary credentials many wrestlers possess going into Finland come from their respective Continental Championship tournaments. Nevertheless, there should be plenty of tense and exciting match-ups early on which should provide plenty of exciting developments as the event unfolds.
