Rasht IAU Student Shines in TAIPEI 2017

A PE student of Rasht Islamic Azad University has shined in the 29th Summer Universiade , that was held in Taipei City (TPE), 19th - 30th August, 2017.

According to an ISCA report, Mohammad Rahbari shined in Men’s Saber Individual contests of the 2017 Universiade Competition and among 64 participants, could clinch the bronze medal after he was beaten by his Hungarian opponent at the semis.

More than 7500 athletes represent 144 countries at the 29th edition of the Summer Universiade in Taipei City which continued until August 30.

The Universiade is the highest-profile international sporting events, second only to the Olympic Games, in terms of the variety of competitions and the number of participating countries and athletes.
