Mashhad IAU Student Shines at 2017 Summer Universiade

A wushu practitioner of Islamic Azad University, Mashhad branch, has clinched bronze at Summer Universiade in Chinese Taipei.

Iran managed to collect three gold, one silver and two bronze medals at the 2017 Summer Universiade in Chinese Taipei, ANA reports.

In Men's Taolu - Daoshu & Gunshu event, Amir Mohammad Rezaei, Mashhad IAU student, stood on the third podium. The other bronze medal for the Persians was bagged by Fatemeh Heidari at Women's Taolu - Nanquan & Nandao.

As a result, Iran ranks 10th in the medal standings with a total of eight gold, four silver and eleven silver trophies. Attracting sportive university students from across the globe, the multi-sport event kicked off on August 19 in Chinese Taipei until August 30.
