Economic Problems Must not Prevent Students from Studying at IAU

The head of board of trustees and directors of Islamic Azad University said at a press conference that economic problems must not be the cause of educational deprivation.

According to an ISCA report, in a press conference held in IAU Journalism and Media Building, Dr. Velayati declared that "we are taking steps in line with our regime and leadership desires. IAU is neither a private nor a state university, it belongs to all the people."

Dr. Velayati spoke of the reasons of forming IAU after Islamic Revolution and said that the university is one of the phenomena of the revolution that is the biggest brick-and-mortar university in the world.

“The late Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani had a considerable role and the Supreme Leader, Grand Ayatollah Khamenei pays special attention to Islamic Azad University and expressed his wishes for its quality improvement and appropriate orientation,” Dr. Velayati noted.

The Head of IAU board of trustees and directors also pointed to the intelligent students who cannot continue their education due to their financial difficulties and emphasized that these people will be discounted in tuition fees and other costs associated with the degree of deprivation.
