Amir Kabir University Wins 1st Place at IMAV 2017

Amir Kabir University’s micro vehicle team has won the first place in Virtual Challenge category of International Micro Air Vehicle 2017 competition in France.

According to an ISCA report, almost 25 university teams from different countries such as Iran, Australia, Brazil, China, Germany, Britain, India, Mexico, Singapore and several others participated in the competition.

The event was organized by ISAE University and ENAC University and took place in Toulouse of France from September 18 to September 21.

AUTMAV team supervised by Dr. Abolghasem Naghash and included Saeid Mozafari, Mohammad Hossein Kazemi, Hojat Mirt Tajeddini, Ali Jame’e, Shahab Sotouni, Alireza Mohammadi-fard, Sajed Afzali, Mohammad Sadegh Al-Es’hagh, Ahmad Rajaee-zadeh, Hamidreza Ne’mati and Amir Hossein Haji-Sheikhi.

Other than the usual Indoor and Outdoor categories, this installment of Micro Air Vehicle competition, also included new categories such as Drone Parade, Virtual Challenge, Record Breaking and Treasure Hunt Challenge.

The International Micro Air Vehicle Conference and Competition (IMAV) is a yearly event that aims at fostering key technologies for the development of micro-air vehicles. It combines a scientific conference and a flight competition intended to all research groups around the world.
