Amir Kabir University of Technology Shines in Intl. Chem-E-Car Competition

Mechanical engineering students from Amir Kabir University of Technology have successfully won the first place in the 10th World Congress of Chemical Engineering and Chem-E-Car competition.

Chem-E-Car competition is held annually among mechanical engineering students from across the world in four categories including Performance, Poster, Safety, and Creative Drive System and team members design and construct a chemically powered vehicle within certain size constraints. This vehicle must be designed to also carry a specified cargo.

The designed cars must be able to carry a specified amount of water and must use an eco-friendly chemical which produces no visible gas or liquid.

The competition is hosted by the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), which is the world's leading organization for chemical engineering professionals, with more than 50,000 members from over 100 countries, taking place from September 30 to October 5.
