IAU to Develop Academic Co-op with Universiti Putra Malaysia

Higher education representatives from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) have met with deputy of IAU higher education to investigate both universities bilateral cooperation.

According to IAU public relations, Dr. Rahaei noted that IAU always welcomes academic relationships with Universities of the Islamic World and hoped that the meeting would pave the way to expand cooperation in order to improve universities’ international situation as well as Muslim welfare.

Dr. Rahaei spoke of one million six hundred twenty thousand IAU students who are actively studying in 340 units and educational centers and explained that IAU is ready to cooperate with UPM in various field including exchanging students, holding sabbatical courses, PhD, and etc.

Deputy of IAU higher education also added that due to the remarkable number of PhD students, IAU and UPM students and professors can benefit sabbatical courses for one year. He noted that the mutual research, educational and academic MoU will be signed by both sides after passing its legal process.

The IAU General Director of International Affairs, Dr. Hossein Ebrahimi, the IAU general director of higher education, Dr. Asadollah Mataji, deputy of UPM higher education, Prof. Roghayeh Younes, head department of Environmental Management, Associate Prof. Dr. Latifah Abd Manaf and Iran scientific advisor in Malaysia, Dr. Ghanbari participated in the meeting as well.
