Karaj IAU Student Brings Honor in Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games

A student of Karaj Islamic Azad University and one of the member of Iran National Cycling Team has exhibited awe-inspiring displays of athletic talents at the 5th edition of Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games, and snatched the gold medal in sprint event.

According to an ISCA report, Ali Aliaskari participated in the team sprint event, and clocked 45.535 seconds to snatch the gold medal. The Kazakh team stood on the second podium with the time of 45.588 seconds. The Thai squad recorded the time of 46.920 seconds to land in the third spot.

He also won gold in the team sprint event and vied for a medal in the men’s 200-meter race distance competitions, and clinched the silver at the 2015 Track Asia Cup in India.

In his interview with ANA news agency, he said that he will participate in Poland world cup next year which is an entry to the 2020 Olympic Games.
