23rd Press Exhibition Officially Opens in Tehran

The 23rd edition of Press Exhibition was officially inaugurated with the motto “Free Media: Social Solidarity, National Progress” at Imam Khomeini Mosalla, central Tehran.

According to an ISCA report, more than 940 media institutes and agencies take advantage of the opportunity to showcase their capabilities at the 23 edition of Tehran Press Exhibition.

“The Exhibition in an area of 13,000 square meters hosts 940 media in 600 pavilions, including some 100 monthly journals, 54 weeklies, 52 quarterlies, over 115 online media, 70 local and provincial media and over 60 newspapers and press institutes,” said Deputy head of the exhibition Mehran Abbasi-Anaraki.

A number of high ranking Iranian officials, including Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyyed Abbas Salehi, Deputy Culture Minister for Press Affairs Hossein Entezami, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi, managing directors of various news agencies and publications, as well as domestic and foreign guests participated in the opening ceremony.

The event will be underway until November 3 and is open to public between 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
