Book Stations to be Launched in IAU Branches

The acting-head of the IAU Printing, Publishing and Media Affairs Organization and a member of Islamic Azad University, board of directors, has announce on running book stations in some IAU chosen branches.

According to an ISCA report, Dr. Saleh Eskandari stated that the role of reputable universities’ publishers in releasing scientific findings and researches is undeniable, therefore, Islamic Azad University, which is among the world’s largest universities, must play a prominent role in academic publishing.

He added that macro policies such as creating a pervasive distribution cycle, modernizing production process, being scientifically valuable and etc. must be paid serious attention and applied. In fact, the basic criteria of accuracy, speed and comprehensiveness have to be taken into consideration as well.

Dr. Eskandari also spoke of the university’s program in Iran national Book Week and explained that determining the event's motto, naming every Book Week day relating to the university, professors and students, unveiling some literary works, holding the meeting of academic writers and librarians with the head of IAU board of directors and trustees, signing cooperation MoUs, running book stations and etc., are some of the university’s plans in the week.

The Book Week of Iran, which is a nationwide cultural event, is held annually in November 11-17, 2017 in order to develop and promote books and book-reading.
