Rasht IAU Student Runner-Up at 2017 Jincheon World Youth Martial Arts Masterships

A PE student of Islamic Azad University, Rasht branch, has displayed great physical and mental skills and won silver at Jincheon World Youth Martial Arts Masterships in South Korea.

According to an ISCA report, the national Iranian hapkido team managed to finish in the second place overall with one gold, four silver and six bronze medals at the international tournament.

Younes Hashempour, Rasht IAU student, along with Mahbod Zamanpour, Amir Hossein Rasouli and Taha Es’haqi got four silver medals in the over 75-kilogram, minus 55-kilogram, minus 60-kilogram and minus 80-kilogram sections respectively.

Additionally, Amir Hossein Zahraei, Seyyed Taha Kiaei, Mohammd Javad Dalir, Ali Haqparast and Ali Khantabar claimed the third spot in the minus 40-kilogram, minus 50-kiloggram, minus 60-kilogram, minus 75-kilogram and over 75-kilogram weight divisions, and grabbed six bronze medals.

Hapkido is a highly eclectic Korean martial art. It is a form of self-defense that employs joint locks, grappling, and throwing techniques similar to those of other martial arts, as well as kicks, punches, and other striking attacks.

The first edition of Jincheon World Youth Martial Arts Masterships started on November 3, and finished on November 7, 2017.
