IAU & WIPO to Co-op in Future

The deputy of research and technology of Islamic Azad University and World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) held commercialization workshop regarding to technologies and challenges of incubators and knowledge-based companies.

According to an ISCA report, the workshop was held with the presence of representative of WIPO, Dr. Freezer, the IAU Senior Manager of Science Development and Scientometrics, Mitra Hashemi Tabatabaei, the Head of IAU Technology Development and Industrial Relations, Dr. Davoud Samari and a team of IT officials and knowledge-based companies.

Various topics such as issues related to technology commercializiation and introducing IAU startups and technological plans were discussed in this one-day workshop. IAU and WIPO also planned to sign a bilateral contract in order to hold various workshops for the university’s experts.

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) is one of the 17 specialized agencies of the United Nations (UN), designed to promote the worldwide protection of both industrial property (inventions, trademarks, and designs) and copyrighted materials (literary, musical, photographic, and other artistic works).
