A student of Amirkabir University of Technology has unveiled an automatic microscope taking pictures of laboratory samples which has been made manually and automatically with automatic movement.

According to an ISCA report, Mohammad Ehsan Ghiasvand introduced his automatic microscope to take pictures of laboratory samples in the 18th Research and Technology Fair and Seventh Techmart Exhibition held in Tehran, with participation of nearly 200 domestic and foreign research centers.

He explained that due to its different light filters, the device is able to take pictures from fluorescent specimens. The device imaging resolution is 0.33 microns per pixel and its motion precision is 20 microns.

He added that another way of taking pictures is through putting a filter inside the device which can absorb the reflection of the reflected light. It also can specify the width and longitude of sample point so the device can scan and take photo of that part.
