IAU Holds the 15th Conference of Deputy Heads of Research & Technology

The 5th edition of national conference of Science and Research deputies of Islamic Azad University has been held in IAU central organization, Sunday, December 17, 2017.

According to an ISCA report, the head of IAU board of directors and trustees, Dr. Ali Akbar Velayati stated that IAU must be a leading in agricultural areas and optimal water consumption.

Dr. Velayati emphasized that our university has to be an Islam-oriented and east-oriented programming. He also asked scholars to restore Lake Urmia through considering the necessary measures.

“According to the vast potential of solar resources in our country, we are able to use them in cars and generate electricity in villages,” he added.

The IAU president, Dr. Farhad Rahbar, emphasized on the country’s universities problems which is mostly in marketing and selling research products and explained that “Knowledge Management” is the first and most important challenge in carrying out researches.

He also noted that our universities are suffering from the gap of second generation academies while their ranking in science production is acceptable, “but a few of the papers and articles are being applied in solving the country’s problems.”

Dr. Rahbar noted that in most of the world reputable universities, professors are keeping their touch with industry to solve the community’s unwelcome or harmful issues, and emphasized that forming a research team of students must be considered by professors.

The IAU president also spoke of the necessity of respecting the researchers and research affairs and said that, “we can take advantage of doing researches, using the outstanding scholars’ experiences, transferring these experiences to young researchers, etc. through respecting the researchers and research affairs.”
