An Iranian inventor, associate professor and faculty member of Islamic Azad University of Shiraz, has invented a device which is similar to a ball and is equipped with a flame-temperature sensor.

According to an ISCA report, Hamidreza Safaei designed and made an automatic fire extinguishing device which is a ball shaped fire extinguisher, contains a mixture of chemicals so its fire resistant materials would spread on the fire and put it out.

Safaei explained that the ball has been designed in a way which is sensitive to the fire and even children can use it to stop a fire. Simply thrown into a fire, it will activate and effectively disperse-extinguishing chemicals, “this ball is easy to carry and can be applied in even tight spaces.”

He also added that this environmentally friendly ball will be expired after 5 years and there is no special training or skill required to operate the ball and no need to face the dangers of the fire.
