Khomeyni Shahr IAU Researchers Create Motion Simulator Device for Radiation Therapy Training Program

Researchers of Khomeyni Shahr Islamic Azad University have created a motion simulator device for radiation therapy training program.

According to an ISCA report, the advisor of the program, Dr. Alireza Seifzadeh, Ph.D - Biomedical Engineering, stated that expanding electronic equipment such as virtual reality simulation technology in education system was the main purpose of this research.

He explained that applying electronic equipment as well as simulation and graphical visualization environment for medical and paramedical engineering students could have a great impact on teaching methods.

Dr. Seifzadeh added that UNITY technology, the ultimate game development platform which is used to build high-quality 3D and 2D games, deploy them across mobile, desktop, VR/AR, consoles or the Web, was used in this patent.

He noted that after creating a simulated environment, we will be able to use AI to provide the possibility of radiation therapist programs for students.
