Students of Islamic Azad University, Najafabad branch, have designed and created the country’s first ergonomic bench which has been qualified for the Asia Design Prize 2018 competition.

According to an ISCA report, the inventor and head of the research team, Hossein Moradi, explained that among 1357 plans from 35 countries, this “Rock wave bench,” 10 sub-ergonomics and 9 genetic sequences in the form of a complete and optimal coexistence, was qualified for the final round the Asia Design Prize 2018.

As he wrote in his Instagram, sitting on benches that do not transfer weight pressure to the joints, soft tissues, or discs is strictly recommended. “People who do outdoor and social activities always look for a place to rest and relieve the pressure from gravity and environmental factors from their body. However, the available benches transfer weight pressure to the joints, soft tissues, and also spinal column which creates pain and numbness in the lower back and legs,” he explained.

The Asia Design Prize breaks away from formative simplicity and complexity and grants true value on the potentials of creativity into products as well as outstanding ideas which are specified with outstanding design.
