Zahedan University of Medical Sciences Hosts the 2nd Int’l & 23rd Iranian Congress of Physiology and Pharmacology

The 2nd International and 23rd Iranian Congress of Physiology and Pharmacology has been held on February 15-18, 2018 in Zahedan University of Medical Sciences, Chabahar, Iran.

According to an ISCA report, Zahedan University of Medical Sciences held the 2nd International Congress and 23rd Iranian Congress of Physiology and Pharmacology the presence of professors, graduate and postgraduate students, faculty members and researchers of inside and outside of the country.

According to public relations Report - Dr. Naghdi, the President of the Iranian Society of Physiology and Pharmacology pointed out that the congress has been started with the endorsement of the efforts made to hold the biannual congress by Zahedan University of Medical Sciences.

Dr. Mohammad Reza Miri, the chancelor of Zahedan University of Medical Sciences and chairman of the 23rd Iranian Congress of Physiology and Pharmacology, said: "We are very pleased to host health sponsors in Sistan and Baluchestan province.

He mentioned some of the health system"s efforts to reduce the burden of disease, promote health indicators in the province, and said: "I believe that the most important resource is human. Fortunately, in Sistan and Baluchestan province, there are currently 105,000 students and 50 universities."

"Students, faculty members and faculty members of Zahedan University of Medical Sciences also shone in terms of science generation, so that the university was able to rank 12th among the medical sciences universities according to the ranking system of ESI.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr. Ghaznavi, the director of congress mentioned to the province’s historical background and the production of the world’s first artificial eye, the first eye surgery and the first human history animation in the burned city, and said that there is a great deal of opportunity to visit historical and tourist sites in the province.

In another part of his speech, he added: "800 articles have been accepted by the congress, with 130 articles delivered as lectures, and the rest will be presented as poster.
