Saturday, March 10, 2018 - 13:58

To promote progress in cooperation with national and international research centers, Pars Nanomaterial Knowledge-based Company, Nanotechnology Research Center of South Tehran Islamic Azad University and Åbo Akademi University will implement tripartite cooperation projects.

According to an ISCA report, the head of Nanotechnology Research Center of South Tehran IAU stated that Åbo Akademi University has been ranked among the best universities in Finland and its activities cover research and education in most disciplines from the humanities, pedagogics and theology to social sciences, natural sciences and technology.

Maleknia noted that most of these joint projects are about designing Nano Sensors and preparing Nano scaffolds based on nano-cellulose technology and explained that numerous leading countries including the United States, Canada, Finland and Sweden have reached to the technology of producing nanocellulose and its products.

Nanocellulose is of increasing interest for a range of applications relevant to the fields of material science and biomedical engineering due to its renewable nature, anisotropic shape, excellent mechanical properties, good biocompatibility, tailorable surface chemistry, and interesting optical properties.
